Mystery seeds show up in a package addressed to the science teacher that runs the school’s garden. The teacher tosses the seeds in the trash. After school, students dig them out. They decide to secretly plant them in the far corner of the school garden when no one is looking.

A new phone app shows up in the app store. Though there is minimal description of what the app does, there are thousands of downloads on the day of launch. It quickly becomes a highly rated app, but most of the reviews are very vague.
Curious, you download the app and create an account. Your first impression is that the app was created to make your life simpler and organized. However, it only takes a couple of hours of the app running on your phone for you to realize it is controlling your life.

Your brand new headphones stop working while listening to music. Desperate to keep listening to your music with headphones, you dig through your house to find an old pair tucked away with other old cords and electronics.
After using them for a couple of hours, different sounds start to play in your headphones. Eventually, your music disappears and is completely replaced by the new sounds. You discover that even if you disconnect the headphones they are still making noises.

You are a pilot of a spaceship that has various missions between planets. One day, something out of the ordinary appears on your radar — a hitchhiker. You argue with your co-pilot about picking up this hitchhiker as they often end up being criminals looking to take command of unsuspecting ships.
As you near his location, you realize you know the hitchhiker. He is someone who is not known to have ever been out in space before.
